Permanent residence
Indefinite residence permit in Poland — a step before applying for citizenship.
The permanent residence permit (zezwolenie na pobyt staly) is indefinite and grants unrestricted access to the labor market — without work permits or declarations. The most common grounds include: a valid Karta Polaka (Pole's Card); Polish descent; marriage to a Polish citizen (at least 3 years of marriage + at least 2 years of uninterrupted residence in Poland on a temporary residence permit issued in connection with the marriage immediately before the application); children of permanent residence holders; victims of human trafficking; and asylum/refugee status in certain configurations.
What the GetPermit service includes

- preparing evidence (documents of origin, civil status records with sworn translations, residence history);
- submitting the application via MOS + confirmation of submission;
- preparation for the interview;
- case monitoring until proceedings are concluded, responding to requests.
Deadlines and official fees
Stamp duty 640 PLN (Karta Polaka: permanent residence application is exempt from stamp duty); residence card 100 PLN; power of attorney fee 17 PLN. The card is issued for 10 years (card replacement).
What to watch out for
For marriage-based applications, the office examines the authenticity of the relationship; permanent residence can be lost in the event of a prolonged absence from Poland. If the office exceeds deadlines, you can file a reminder for failure to act.
