One year of Poland's new foreigner employment law — what has actually changed?

Full digitalization via praca.gov.pl
On 1 June 2025, the Act of 20 March 2025 on the conditions for the admissibility of entrusting work to foreigners in Poland entered into force. Twelve months on, its impact is clear.
Work entrustment declarations, work permit applications (including seasonal) and all documents are submitted exclusively electronically via praca.gov.pl. Documents submitted in any other form are rejected.
End of the labour market test
The starost's information was abolished — employers no longer have to prove they could not find a local worker. Procedures shortened by weeks, while offices gained new tools to combat fictitious employment.
New notification duties
The employer must notify the office about the start and end of a foreigner's work within set deadlines. Reporting early termination invalidates the declaration. Non-compliance carries real fines.
The balance sheet
Procedures are faster and logistically cheaper, but they require digital discipline: a praca.gov.pl profile, an electronic signature and deadline control are now the basis of legal employment.
